My name is Michael Johnson and I am the publisher / host for Sage Fire Reviews and a fellow author.
I am writing to you as an author today;
asking if
you would be interested in participating with me and other notable
authors in a modern general romance
anthology. I am also looking for artwork to go with the
anthology. This Anthology has already had a couple of publishing
houses request to review it when it gets closer to being finished.
You will make money from this project, unlike a contest where only the top 3
winners get any. All contributing authors and artists will
share equally in the quarterly payments from the publisher who wins our
contract. I expect and will push for the book to be both a print
book and an e-book. Pencraft will host a web based "book page"
which you will be able to reference in your personal marketing.
Likewise, sales of the finished book will be through the publisher and
standard outlets. Pencraft does no retail selling.
The setting of the collection is to be mainly the Pacific, and Mountain Northwest, centered around the fictional Idaho ranch -- the Double Bar J, on the bench near the city of Emmett.
I am looking for strong writing skills, like yours, which can weave a story about finding love during the bleakest point of any extended family, ... a fued or as we call them out West, a range war. The feud / range war, the approximate times, the names of the characters should be used lightly to tie your story to the overall theme, not dectract from the purpose of your story. I will assist any author who has a strong idea for a story but is unsure of the setting, or actions which happen during a feud / range war, to overcome this obstacle. As I am envisioning the anthology at the moment:
1) the central theme of the Anthology will be "Love develops even in the middle of a modern [fued] range war."
2) a general setting as mentioned above during the years from 1970 to 2010.
3) each story must tie -- by at least one character -- back to the fictional modern ranch The Double Bar J in Southwestern Idaho
4) each story must be targeted to an approximate length of 7500 words
5) each author must read the introductory two stories that set the theme before beginning to write. (comments on them are also welcome. Peer review is always helpful)
All other considerations are open for the contributing author to interpret to fit their contribution. English, Spanish, German, and Russian language native authors are welcome.

I have asked the following published authors
to join as the nucleus of
the anthology. Why not add your name to the list today?:
There is still space available for more authors. If you are a
strong writer interested in contributing, you are welcome to
participate. I want to hear from you ASAP, so send your
query today.
